This morning I headed out for one of my daily rides and realised that all of a sudden Autumn was here. The colours from the trees had dramatically changed from the summer green to Autumn brown and gold. It was phenomenal.
I rode a section in Thieves Wood, and it was like a wintery snow scene but instead of the snow, leaves. It was snowing leaves and they were settling on the floor covering everything. It was amazing. As I cruised along, I had to brush the leaves away like some machine was throwing them at me. It was tricky negotiating the route not knowing what was under the wheel or what was coming up. Definitely an added excitement.
I stopped a number of times to try and catch the moment on camera, but it never does it justice…Here is Thieves Wood.
As I came to the end of the trail in the woods, I found the most colourful selection of trees around. Yellows, greens, reds, maroons, such a range, all on my doorstep.
A couple of cracking photos to capture Autumn in all its glory.
