During the cold winter months, I always like to reminisce about the summer biking. It’s easy to forget what it was liking biking in shorts and T-shirts, in dry sunny conditions. I was looking back at some of the photos I was lucky to take as I was biking in the sun. Here are some of my favourites.
This was taken on one of my go to routes in the Felly. Its a very challenging hill to climb but when you get to the top the reward cab be sparkling. It can look even more spectacular after a frost in the winter.
I do love it when the sun is blazing and you see your biking self following you everywhere on the ground. I always think it looks so cool. So why not stop and snap it, as I did in Sherwood Pines.
This picture is amazing but was so much better in real life. I was flying along through Harlow Wood an noticed this stunning opening where the sun was blazing through. Every time I go by now, I check if I get the same view. I have taken a winter photo in the same position to compare the differences. It’s amazing how much plant recedes in the winter.
Three quarters of the way through one of my favourite routes, Pig Hill, is this image. It’s a lovely slightly downhill section that flows through the forest at speed. I enjoy the vivid brown and grey colours the trees produce.
This is a classic view from route 6 as it passes through Clumber Park. Taken from the bridge looking left out to the water. A great view.
All I can say is roll on the Summer so I can get out and capture more stunning pictures.
